Other Wah Pedals

Vox Joe Satriani Big Bad Dual Wah Guitar Effects Pedal
Benefitting from Joe Satriani's years of experience and built to his specifications, the VOX Big Bad Wah is a dual-mode ped.al with switchable access to two wah modes and unique features for a wide range of wah sounds. Satriani contributed numerous ideas that were unheard of in existing wah pedals, endowing the Big Bad Wah with an unparalleled range of sounds from vintage to modern, as well as controls so users can create their own unique sounds. Wah One faithfully replicates classic VOX wah sound, albeit hot-rodded to Joe's specs. Wah Two delivers all the wah-pedal know-how that Satriani has accumulated over many years, as well as the ability to customize your own wah sound. The Drive knob mimics the Wah 1 gain at its lowest setting; at its highest, it delivers a 10dB boost for aggressive, growling overtones. The Voice switch instantly takes you from traditional wah voicing to a dark, resonant tone reminiscent of a vintage talk box.The Big Bad Wah also allows you to select between a vintage, U.K.-style inductor, and the more modern USA style.

Guyatone Ultron Optical Auto Wah Effects Pedal
With optical circuitry based on the vintage Mutron III envelope filter, the Ultron Auto Wah Pedal takes the soul of that classic effect and adds a variety of new and useful control features that set it apart from any other unit on the market.Three types of classic wah filter effects are available with the Ultron Envelope Filter (filter effect controlled by pick attack), Auto Wah (filter effect controlled by internal oscillator), or Manual Wah (filter effect controlled via external expression pedal). For all three effect types the frequency range, direction and intensity of the filter effect are completely adjustable via the Threshold, Frequency, Drive and Peak controls on the unit's front panel. At the heart of the Ultron is Guyatone's proprietary CPU controller, which allows for quick selection of the Ultron's primary effect function. Six effect modes are easily accessible from the unit's front panel, and each effect mode features a sub-mode that can be accessed with a quick press of the control footswitch. If that isn't enough, the last two modes also feature bonus modes that allow for manual selection of the oscillator waveform via an external expression pedal. The six effect modes are as follows: Momentary wave functions as an envelope filter or, when control footswitch is pressed and held, an oscillator-controlled auto wah Wave tap functions as an oscillator-controlled auto wah with rate determined by tap tempo function of control footswitch Pedal wah/touch functions as a manual wah with filter position controlled by the optional external expression pedal in main mode. Three selectable tapers (linear/audio/reverse audio) are available for the treadle. In sub-mode unit functions as an envelope filter Pedal depth/touch - main mode varies frequency depth using the optional expression pedal or functions as envelope filter in sub-mode Pedal speed 1/touch main mode varies the speed of the wave form oscillation with the optional expression pedal over a range of 70-1000 ms. In sub mode the unit functions as an envelope filter Pedal speed 2/touch main mode varies the speed of the wave form oscillation with the optional expression pedal over a range of 70-4000 ms. In sub mode the unit functions as an envelope filterVia these multiple effect modes, you can achieve a limitless variety of filtering effects that can all be toggled through and tweaked in real time. The Ultron's CPU also offers six selectable waveforms when the unit is used in the oscillator-controlled effect modes - a variety of Triangle, Sawtooth, and Square Waves are available for quick selection via the unit's front panel. In addition, the oscillator's rate can be displayed in BPM or Milliseconds allowing for precise syncing to song tempo or external devices.Like the Mutron III, the Ultron features selectable high pass, band pass and low pass filters, allowing for use with a wide variety of instruments and input signals.

Chorus

Carl Martin Chorus XII Pedal
Unbelievably rich sound and ultra-quiet operation are the strengths of this quality pedal. Also, it functions essentially as 2 pedals, with 2 identical but independent sets of speed and depth controls, each with its own LED that flashes according to speed setting. A Select switch lets you change settings mid song.

Voodoo Lab Analog Chorus Pedal
Voodoo Lab's Analog Chorus pedal is an exact sonic replica of the most sought after chorus of all time: the 1976 Roland CE-1. With its lush and distinctively organic tone, it's the standard by which all other chorus effects are measured. Now you can get those same classic sounds in a compact stompbox! The Analog Chorus pedal gives you a huge range of sounds from a thick analog doubling, to uber-lush chorus, and even a Leslie rotating speaker. Guitar Player says: "Strikingly vocal with a distinctive organic tone. Warm, pulsing, and sexy."
Overdrive and Boost Pedals
If the guitarist is any good with soldering or doesn't mind learning, then try a boost or overdrive pedal from Build-Your-Own-Clone. I've got a few of their pedals and each one is awesome. These are definitely good pedals featuring quality well above their price-point, the downside and the explanation for the low price is that you have to assemble and solder it yourself.

Carl Martin AC-Tone Dual Overdrive Pedal
The AC-Tone pedal offers 2 channels of overdrive, voiced alike for preset usage, and also gives you a clean channel with a boost of up to 20dB. The overdrive is low to medium gain for a sweet and crisp tone with mellow midrange reminiscent of the old TopBoost amps from the late 60's. The 2 channels range from a mild breakup to a healthy overdriven sound. One channel can be used for slightly chimey breakup, and the other channel set for more overdrive, with saturated mids and drive. Lots of flexibility means you'll always have the sounds to meet your needs. The AC-Tone pedal has a built in regulated (+-12V) power supply, to secure the necessary headroom for great tone.

Carl Martin PlexiTone Overdrive Pedal
With the Carl Martin Plexitone Overdrive Effects Pedal, you get a crunch channel, a high gain channel, and a 20dB clean boost channel for every tone you want: subtle overdrive, hard-rock crunch, high-gain shred, or bass-heavy grunge. An integrated regulated power supply gives all the headroom you'll need.

Carl Martin Hot Drive 'N Boost mk 3 Pedal
The anniversary Hot Drive'n Boost mk 3 has a completely new overdrive design that delivers even more authentic tube simulating overdrive than the revered original HDB. It gives you the sound of a tweaked boutique tube amp without affecting your fundamental tone. There's no midrange emphasis or high- or low-end cut. Equipped with Boost, Level, Wave, and Gain rotary knobs plus Boost and Drive switches to fine-tune and activate your sound. Up to a 20dB boost gives your solos the presence and punch you lust after. A built-in power supply keeps your signal clean. Hand-built in Denmark.

Hughes & Kettner Tube Factor Overdrive Pedal
By feeding sufficient juice (upwards of 300V) to its tube-based tone circuitry, this pedal gives you the real thing: a warm tube clean sound and a blistering, saturated-tube lead sound. Both are available at the press of a switch. The Tube Factor is the key to getting the hottest lead sounds from vintage amps and genuine tube tone from solid state combos. In effect, it expands any amp with an additional channel.

Blackstar HT Series HT-DUAL Tube Dual Distortion Guitar Effects Pedal
The HT-DUAL pedal from Blackstar's HT Range of tube overdrive pedals features true high-voltage (300V) circuitry and are packed with innovations and tone. Channel 2 gives distortion tones from super crunch right up to screaming lead. The unique switching operation will transform a single channel vintage amp into a three-channel tone machine. The ISF control takes you from British Valve' to Modern American' and anywhere in between and the no compromise speaker emulated output lets you get it all down to tape or disk.Add to this the no-compromise speaker emulated output and you have the most cost-effective way of getting real tube tones direct to disk or tape.PURE TUBE DISTORTION The HT-DUAL has high voltage tube design for true tube dynamics and feel. 2 cascaded ECC83 triode stages for gain from warm boost to screaming lead. Enhanced tone network for massive tonal flexibility with traditional passive network musicality. Patent-Applied-For ISF control allows access to infinite new sounds. Emulated output is a new benchmark design for pro direct recording sounds. High-integrity bypass for silent switching and driving long cables.
Volume Pedal
Volume pedal - so often overlooked, these can make an amazing difference to the sound coming out of an amp.

Ernie Ball Stereo 25K Ohm Volume Pedal
This stereo pedal is designed specifically for instruments with active electronics and buffered effect returns. Use the A input/A output for the left channel and the B input/B output for the right channel. For use as a mono volume pedal, use the A input and A output. For use with stereo cable installations using TRS type stereo plugs, use the B input and B output.

Visual Sound Visual Volume Pedal
With the die-cast aluminum Visual Volume, the rocker position is indicated by a column of ten LEDs. With the rocker fully back (toe up, heel down) all of the lights are off and so is the volume. As you rock your foot forward, the indicators light up one by one until all 10 are lit. When all lights are on, you're at maximum volume. To find your level at a glance, LEDs 1-4 are blue, 5 is red, 6-9 are blue again, and 10 is red.The Visual Volume Pedal operates on 9V battery or an optional power supply. It will function passively without power though the LEDs will be inoperative. Visual Volume recommends using a high-quality regulated 9VDC adapter like the 1 Spot. Boss PSA, Dunlop ECB-03, Ibanez AC-109, and Morley 9V also acceptable. The Visual Volume pedal is easy to service. If you ever wear out the control pot, Visual Volume has a kit to restore your pedal to like new service. Many users are even able to make the switch themselves.Inputs and Outputs Input 1 and Output 1 are all you need for mono volume control. Tuner Out: Even with the volume all the way down, the tuner out still sends volume to your tuner, allowing you to tune silently without switching any cables around. If you don't plug into Input 2, both Outputs send the signal from Input 1, so you can plug into 2 different amps at the same time. Plug into inputs 1 & 2, and the Visual Volume becomes a stereo volume pedal. Great if you put a Stereo Chorus pedal in front of the Visual Volume. Or, plug 2 guitars into the Visual Volume and you can make quick guitar changes without unplugging. Other adjustments With the removal of the bottom plate on your pedal you can set the pedal for active or passive mode, adjust pedal tension, and in active mode, individually set the gain for each input.
Delay pedal

T-Rex Replica Delay/Echo Pedal
This Guitar Player Editors' Pick Award winner can hand you studio-quality cool digital delay or the warmth of all-tube echo with single pedal convenience. Its secret is 2 Burr Brown 24-bit converters (one A/D, one D/A) to sample at a sky-high rate of 200kHz! The circuitry is entirely analog, with the exception of the 24-bit converters and RAM. The unit features special touches like unity gain, a Brown button (repeat-only hi-cut filter), and hot-wire bypass. The Replica is capable of delay settings up to 1550ms, has a tap tempo function (which can be controlled via MIDI), and a subdivision function for triplet delay effects. Comes with an external 12 volt power supply

Carl Martin Delayla
Incorporates some of the same features used in vintage tape delay units. To achieve this, Carl Martin incorporated a second delay tap (similar to using 2 heads simultaneously on a tape delay). TAP footswitch turns second tap on or off. TAP knob controls the mix of main delay vs. second tap delay. Warm, smooth sound reminiscent of the vintage tape units used in the '50s and '60s. Captures one of the hardest sounds: that authentic rock 'n' roll slapback echo that digital processors are unable to emulate. Built-in, regulated (+-12V) power supply.

Carl Martin DeLayla XL Delay Pedal
The Carl Martin DeLayla XL Delay Pedal was designed and developed to have the same sonic quality as the original DeLayla and adds a second delay head for the ultimate in vintage slapback echo. The response of the second head can be fine-tuned, is controllable by footswitch, and can be blended with the first head. The Carl Martin DeLayla delivers warm, smooth delay and echo reminiscent of vintage tape units, but with modern features. The Delayla XL has a tap tempo and a built-in power supply.
Multi-Effects
I'd rarely suggest a decent guitarist getting a multi-effects unit, mainly because I've never been impressed with the quality of the individual effects in the box. You have to spend a lot to get good quality in this area. If you think about it, an overdrive pedal can sell for $200 so what quality would you expect of a $200 multi-fx unit that incorporates an overdrive? Fortunately quality isn't related solely to price.

Carl Martin Quattro Analog Multi-Effect Pedal
With classic guitar tone disappearing down the road of digital modeling amps and effects, Carl Martin is proud to introduce the Quattro four of the most popular Carl Martin effects in one package. The Quattro begins with Carl Martin's award winning Compressor/Limiter circuit with single controls for compression and level. The Two-Channel Overdrive has switches for on-off and for selecting between the crunch and high-gain stages, and controls for tone and level. In classic fashion, the Vintage Chorus has a speed and a depth control. Finally, the vintage style Echo has controls for level, tone, repeat and tap-tempo, as well as an on-off switch. No hard to read screens, no menus to scroll through, just set-up and play. There is no simpler multi-effect pedals on the market! There is also an effects loop built in between the overdrive and chorus effects for that special drive or fuzz pedal that is part of your sound. You also get famous Carl Martin build quality, ultra quiet switching, a high quality on-board regulated +/-12V power supply which allows us to use the finest components allowing the greatest amount of headroom, and low output impedance which leaves your amp sounding exactly like your amp.

Roger Linn Design AdrenaLinn III Guitar Effects Processor
AdrenaLinn III from Roger Linn Design is a beat-synced multi-effects processor for guitar, keyboard or bass that combines 3 products in one: 1) A beat-synched multi-effects processor with exclusive Filter Sequencer What are beat-synched filter effects? Examples include tremolo, auto-pan, filter tremolo, flanger, chorus, rotary, vibrato and more, all in perfect synch to the internal drumbeats or to MIDI clock. That out-of-synch tremolo on your guitar amp won't seem as useful anymore. Plus you get innovative new effects including: • Random filtering, flanging or tremolo like a wah pedal that instantly switches to a new random position on every 1/8 or 1/16 note in sync to the beat. Or a flanger that switches to a new random frequency every 1/8 or 1/16 note. Or a tremolo in which each pulse level is randomly chosen, adding a syncopated rhythm to even simple chords. • Filter sequences: Looped 2-measure rhythmic sequences of filter tones in sync to the beat or to MIDI. Choose one of the preset sequences or program your own. A great idea generator. • Tremolo sequences: Looped 2-measure sequences of programmed volume pulses. Like that used in Green Day's "Boulevard of Broken Dreams". • Arpeggio Sequences: Looped 2-measure sequences of tuned resonances, as used in John Mayer's "Bigger Than My Body". • Delay Loops: Set the beat-synced delay to 1 full measure, then jam with yourself by playing chords over the first bar and solo over them on the next. You also get note-triggered filter effects like Auto-Wah, Talk Box simulator, Guitar Synth sounds, plus stereo reverb, compression, tuner and a completely transparent noise gate. And AdrenaLinn III's filters are warm and very analog-sounding with emulations of classic Moog and Oberheim synthesizer filter designs. 2) A superb amp modeler 40 superb models of vintage and modern guitar amps from Fender, Marshall, VOX, Mesa Boogie and more, including 4 classic bass amps. Plus distortion boxes and a warm tube preamp emulation. 3) A programmable drum machine A great-sounding programmable drum machine with 200 drumbeats from rock, pop, reggae, Brazilian, techno, hip hop, jazz and more, using over 40 well-sampled drum sounds. Run the drums through the amps and beat-synched filter processing for inspiring processed beats. • Easy to use. Just select a preset and play. To adjust any of the front panel settings, simply press the UP or DOWN arrow buttons to light the light next to it, then turn the knob above it. That's it. Same with the drumbeats.Like its predecessor, AdrenaLinn III gives you modulation effects, looped filter sequences and delay loops, all playing in sync to the internal drum beats or MIDI.

A single cable connects the GFX01 with the G-System floor unit, putting your stomp boxes and messy cables out of sight while keeping the power and control under foot.Analog "True Bypass" LoopsPreserve your original tone with the four analog true bypass pedal loops, all under preset as well as "on-the-fly" control. A fifth loop can be used for inserting a preamp or a fifth pedal in your setup. Rock-Solid User InterfaceDirect access user interface is via six rotary switch encoders. Not only does the heavy-duty chrome switch protect these encoders housing, but it also protects vital components below. With no vulnerable plastic knobs and no obvious openings, G-System is sealed against dust, dirt, moisture, and spills on stage. Chromatic TunerWith the full chromatic tuner you can always keep an eye on your guitar tuning. By pressing and holding the tuner switch, the outputs will mute and precise tuner information will be displayed on the LED. Hitting any switch will instantaneously un-mute the output and send you back into the play mode.Pre EffectsEffects that are typically used prior to your lead effects are found in the pre effects section. They feature a high-impedance instrument input and full 96kHz/24-bit conversion and processing. This high resolution processing ensures maximum preservation of the guitar's original harmonics, which are vital to the character of any overdrive pedal or preamp.FiltersThe filter section allows you to select between touch and manually controlled filters, ranging from wah wah over formats to high peak resonance filters.CompressionThe compressor section enables perfect dynamic control of the previous filters including a pumping-style compressor or the more transparent compression style that gives smooth dynamic control and lengthy sustainAnalog Pedal LoopsAny disengaged pedal will eat into your guitar tone. The 4 analog loops in G-System give you full preset control as well as on-the-fly enabling/disabling, allowing "true bypass" of any pedal. The fifth loop is custom designed for preamp insertion.
